Repo! The Genetic Opera :: Legal Assassin

Többször is szerepelt már itt a Repo! című cyberpunk musical, hiszen páratlanul egyedi produkció készül a színfalak mögött. Őszintén csodálkozom a hatalmas csenden, ami ezt a projektet jellemzi itthon, bár tekintve, hogy a Repo! stílusa meglehetősen szélsőséges (még Paris Hilton jelenléte mellett is), talán nem is olyan meglepő. Az alaphangulaton kőkeményen érződik Nivek Ogre (Skinny Puppy) világa, miután pedig összeáll a kép a többi résztvevővel, valami olyan brilliáns eredményt kapunk, hogy azt még megfogalmazni is nehéz. Olyan hangulatot sikerült elkapni ezzel az ipari operával, amihez hasonlóra még soha nem volt példa. Magába foglalja a (számomra) Nine Inch Nails féle elegáns, vascsöves indusztriál lázadást, a szakadt (cyber)punk romantikát, az Ulver hangulatú történetmesélést (lsd.: William Blake’s – The Marriage of Heaven and Hell), masszívan fűszerezve a tinigótos horrorelemekkel (ElitAlice sayz: egész estés goth videoklip?). Ha valamire, akkor erre mondom azt, hogy igazi hardergeneration power. Btw, PlanetDamage posztolt egy videót, amiből az is kiderült, hogy a zenék dobtémáit Mark “Moke” Bistany írta és ütötte fel a soundtrack-re, aki nem mellesleg az Otep dobosa.

A kész darabot Amerikában mutatják be, mindössze 7 színházban, amikből aztán egy dvd-t is láthatunk majd 2009 január környékén.
